Florida Summer Festivals

Summer is coming! It’s time to enjoy all the sunshine this state has to offer. If art, music, and culture interest you, then Florida has more than a few fun options worthy of your time. Florida plays host to festivals of all types and sizes. From low-key local gatherings to huge music events attracting festival seekers from all over the globe, there’s no shortage of options. Here’s a list of some of the more popular festivals you’ll find throughout the state.

2023 Florida Summer Festivals

SunFest – West Palm Beach

May 5-7

Downtown West Palm Beach is the place to be for anyone looking for great music. SunFest, Florida’s largest waterfront music festival, kicks off with some of the biggest acts in music, including Jack Johnson, The Killers, and The Chainsmokers. 

Florida Folk Festival – White Springs

May 26-28

Fans of folk music will find a lot to love at the Florida Folk Music Festival. This festival has been held annually for 71 years. Taking place over Memorial Day weekend, it features over 300 performances. Beyond great music, there are attractions such as crafts, workshops, and cultural exhibits.

Sunset Music Festival – Tampa

May 27-28 

Time for some great tunes and fun in the sun at Sunset Music Festival, held annually on Memorial Day weekend. Some of music’s biggest DJs will be rocking Raymond James Stadium for two nights for fans of all things dance and electronic.

Truman’s Tropical Fruit Festival – Key West

June 17

Taking its name from our 33rd President, Truman’s Tropical Fruit Festival offers up a fun-filled day at Florida’s only Presidential museum. Key West’s “Little White House” was President Truman’s favorite getaway throughout his presidency and post-presidency life. There are great activities scheduled for kids and grownups, like fruit tastings, cocktails, and more.

Sad Summer Festival – Jacksonville and Clearwater

July 6 & July 7

Your summer will not be sad in the slightest when you’re at the Sad Summer music festival. This is a summer tour that moves throughout the country, so it isn’t exclusive to Florida. However, it kicks off in Florida and has two dates in the state. 

26th Annual Key West Lobsterfest – Key West

August 10-13

There’s no better way to kick-start lobster season than with this party down in Key West. Key West Lobsterfest is four days filled with lobster-themed parties, street fairs, live music, and much more. Close to the end of the summer, it’s a great cap to your festival-going season.
